According to Bloomberg, the bitcoin price on Coinbase reached nearly $20,000 on Thursday.

According to Northwest Public Radio, entreprenuers are bombarding public utilities in Central Washington with requests to use cheap electricity for mining bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

According to Bloomberg, NiceHash has admitted that hackers emptied the cloud-based mining marketplace’s bitcoin wallet. The exact amount of bitcoin stolen is unknown at this point.

According to Bitsonline, Mastering Bitcoin Author Andreas Antonopoulos has received a large number of donations in reaction to Bitcoin.com CEO Roger Ver publicly shaming Antonopoulos for his lack of bitcoin holdings. The largest donation sent to Antonopoulos was more than $500,000 worth of bitcoin.

According to Markets Insider, almost every major cryptocurrency not named bitcoin’s price fell on Thursday.
